There are possibilities everywhere, the key is being open to them. Creativity is the same way. Allowing ourselves to imagine something other than what we are used to, can lead to things we'd never considered as options or choices. Thinking outside the box and opening up to possibilities is awesome.

Absolutely true! I’m trying to get going on a new book and was having trouble with the opening chapters. Then I read a terrific blog by one of my co-bloggers on Cowboy Kisses. (We all write western romances.) The post is titled A Horse of a Different Color. In it, the author, Ellen O’Connell, talks about how much it bugs her when authors describe horses in the wrong terms, calling a chestnut a bay and visa versa. She included lots of useful details. Well, that blog got me out of writier’s quicksand. Ideas started to flow. Chapter one is finished and chap. two is moving along well, all thanks to that unexpected blog gift.
