I picked-up a 10kg bag of unbleached, organic flour while doing my monthly BIG grocery trip yesterday. The flour is from a mill in Vulcan (Maybe Spock’s family? Live long and prosper!), but sold locally at the Community Natural Foods store. I’m in love with this flour! I’m also really loving the sheer size of a 10kg bag, and the fact that I need that much. <giggle> Anyway, we cracked into it to make some yummy, fresh bread. *happy dancing*

I can almost smell the fresh baked aroma.
It’s one of my favourite fragrances. ♥
Oh what fun! Do you and your Elflings bake together?
We totally do.♥
I let them take turns kneading the dough. Sometimes they just punch it, but it beats them punching each other. ;0)
Beautiful bread! Btw- Vulcan, Michigan, by chance? (I spent my summers as a child there and have so many wonderful memories of the place…)
Thank you, my friend. ♥
It is Vulcan, Alberta. So super-cool that MI has a Vulcan, too. ♥
Your loaves are gorgeous! Yes, I need 10kg of organic bread flour too! I paid too much for a tiny bag at whole foods yesterday.
We’ve been paying too much for the 2.5kg bags for far too long, too. I hear ya, my friend. ♥
Thanks for sharing!
