Is it just me, or does taking an elementary-aged child with you while you knock on neighbourhood doors after church on Sunday seem like a new low? I get the use of pathos, but come on! Do you really want to expose this poor kid to doors being slammed in his/her face all afternoon? I don’t get it.

I don’t get it either…it’s appalling. I totally respect anyones right to choose their beliefs and I would expect the same respect back (especially from those who claim to be part of a caring loving religion) but please don’t knock on my door :)
I feel the same way. I’m not going to get in people’s faces about how/who they believe, and I would ask the same consideration. I’ve never been a fan of the door-knocking. =0/
I guess it depends on why they are going around knocking on doors. If it’s to tell me that I won $1 million in the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes………….lol

Oh I dont know, maybe I am perculiar. I believe my children need a measure of free will. If one chooses to be a Minister later in his life, fine, just as fine whatever else he chooses As long as it is his choice and not mine. If you drank, would you expect them to share a beer with you as well? Sorry, dont get it. They can knock on my door all they like and I would be polite and say no thankyou. Bringing their children would upset me but I wouldnt hollar because of the kids. Really Bad form to expose the children to the responses that may be received .With you on this Veggie Witch.
