Get me a shrubbery!

Nanking Cherries

I’d written a post about Choke Cherries the other day, and I need to make a little correction. The yummy, little, red berries we were eating are more correctly considered a variety of Nanking Cherry. The Prunus tomentosa is a hearty little deciduous shrub, native to Asia (China, Japan, and the Himalayas). I could eat these all day, and just might make us some jam. Get me a shrubbery!
