One day at a time…

Me @ 40

August was super-busy. In addition to taking my Mama to hospital on August 12th, I found the time to turn 40 on the 14th. My original plan was to cancel my b-day altogether, but that just didn’t seem too possible. Basically, my Elflings refused to not let me celebrate it. Needless to say, I’ve also been terrible at keeping up with my blog and your gorgeous bloggies I follow. I’m on it, and want you to know I think about you often, even if I haven’t stopped by your bloggitty-blogs most recent entries. I’m catching-up one day at a time. ♥

  1. Every once in a while real life rears it’s ugly head. Positive thoughts your way. 40 is the new 30, all the cool kids are doing it.

  2. Happy late 40th! I hope it was a good one even though your mother was not well. My heart goes out to you…
Sending you and your family many blessing :)

Sincerely hope all is good with you and your family
    (hugs)

You are a gift to the world, so I am glad your kiddos helped you celebrate your birthday. Hope it was a special day despite all that is going on n your life. You’re in my thoughts and prayers. (((hugs)))

  7. I’m really sorry to hear your Mom isn’t well. I understand exactly how difficult it can be to have a birthday during such trying times. In July I had a birthday at a point when my Dad had been (mostly sedated and not aware of anything) in the hospital for an entire month. My family and I used the day to take a break from the hospital and I’m now really glad we managed to enjoy it. My Dad passed away a couple days later and now it feels like he was hanging on a couple more days so we could have one good day before he passed.

I really hope you managed to enjoy your day, despite everything.

Sorry to hear about your Mum…is she still in hospital?

    • Thank you very much, my friend. ♥
      She is. =0(
It’s been a long couple of weeks, but she’s being cared for and the search is on for an assisted-living environment for her to move from hospital to.

  13. I wondered how your mom was doing. I hope everything works out for her in the assisted living facility and that she gets the best of care. I know you’ll be looking out for her.

Happy belated 40th — you look wonderful — love this picture! Take care VW.
