Dealing with SPAM

It seems there have been several posts lately about SPAM. Not the SPAM above (which is icky and creeps me out), but the annoying kind that fills up email and bombards your blog. I don’t always check my dashboard in WP, but when I do, there are usually a few SPAM posts. I used to just go and delete them en masse without a second thought, until one day I noticed the odd post or two from my beloved followers. (Yes! I love ALL of you!) Now I scan through for something that doesn’t resemble crap, and doom the rest to trash. That is, until recently. I saw a devilishly creative post the other day by Russel Ray Photos on Making Spammers Work For You! He suggests (and illustrates how) to go in and adjust the post to something more funny and less SPAMmy. Hilariously genius, and way more fun!

I had to use Russel’s photo of a peacock. Can’t you just hear this gorgeous bird laughing maniacally, too? It’s fabulous! Thank you, Russel Ray Photos, for such a brilliant, creative and inspiring post. *squishy, squashy hugs*

i love have a read of the spam some of it is highly amusing and blatently obvious computer generated ‘I thought your article was very informative’ hmm well it was a picture of my dog..if you need that sort of information fine. ‘I do not even understand how I stopped up right here, however I thought this post was once great. I don’t know who you might be but definitely you are going to a famous blogger in the event you are not already. Cheers!’ hmm maybe but I am still not clicking on a link that involves plastics coverts in the title but naturalmedicines in the web address I have a feeling I can see whats coming with that one and my other half does not require any little blue pills lol
