Strawberries are our favourite snack. My Elflings go nuts for them! *happy dancing*

I tell my sister to get organic ones for her kids because pesticides get through easily on these. She does — when she feels like it. :( I tell her — “for the love of god for the kids get them!!!” You can’t always be concerned about saving money when it comes to what you put into your body. I love strawberries too! :)

I totally agree, Auntie. You’re either going to be giving your money to a doctor when you get sick, or to a farmer/grocer to eat well and stay healthy. I much prefer the latter, simply because good food is worth every penny, especially where children are concerned. ♥

Also, I loathe visiting doctors. XD

My horrible mutt Bert usually eats all of ours as fast as they ripen. My fault… One day as I was gardening when he was still a wee puppy, I clicked him an overripe strawberry as a treat. Thus, I created a strawberry monster…

PS – does this mean we get strawberry recipes from you now? *happy dances*

I love using an egg slicer to create the natural heart shaped fruits display their form. Especially, in the champaigne breakfasts my receives on mothers day, anniversaries, birthday and all new years eve celebrations until sun up.

Strawberries used to be my favorite snack but that was decades ago when strawberries had a sweet taste without being too sweet, and great texture. Today’s strawberries just aren’t the same.

Very true. When we were still eating the el cheapo, GMO strawberries, they had a gritty/mealy feel in the mouth, and a bland, forgettable taste. The organic berries we buy now are the tastiest, and more like I remember them being when I was little. =0)

      Oh no! =0(
I haven’t noticed the prices being especially “great” here, either. We’ve noticed real shortages in organic apples and potatoes here, too. It’s kind of creepy.
