…to say that we’re all still kicking. I took my Mom to hospital for issues stemming from her Parkinson’s in the late afternoon of August 12th, and she remains in hospital to this day. My Elflings and I have been up to visit her every day, save one this past Sunday. It’s been hard, and we have all cried a lot. I love my Mom so much, and I hate seeing her so frail and stuck in hospital. We do understand that they would not be keeping her in if they felt they didn’t need to. There are many people working with her to assess her condition (neurologist, occupational therapy, attending physician, physical therapists, transition services, etc), and find the best way to help her manage. We are hoping the people from Transition Services will be able to help find an assisted-living environment for my Mom, and that the neurologist and attending physician will not discharge her until a suitable place is found. I’m actually crossing everything that can be crossed. Any positive thoughts or vibes you can send our way would be so totally appreciated. *huggles*
