Knitting Bug

I have been knitting up a storm lately, and I really like it! Mostly baby things, but that’s because they’re cute and quick to knit.

My mister is so silly, because he said it makes him nervous when I knit  baby things. LOL!

Seriously, I have no less than 6 friends who have either just had babies, or they’re newly pregnant.

I also have heaps of gorgeous colorways by Mosaic Moon in my stash, so having lovely reasons to knit garments from neglected skeins suits me just fine.

I’m so happy to have this recent knitting bug!

Knitting – Mama Vertebrae Cardigan

I’ve been knitting a Mama Vertebrae Cardigan (link goes to the pattern on Ravelry), and I’m really liking how it’s turning out. The colorway was hand-dyed by the awesome artisan behind Mosaic Moon, and is called “Yoda,” from a photo that had been submitted as inspiration. This cardigan is intended to be for a gift, but I know I’m going to have trouble parting with it. :0/

I love the cuff! Seed-stitch is one of my favourite ways to finish a garment, and the pattern shows off the colours so nicely.

Day 19 ~ What I Collect

I collect a few things, but I have a rather large collection (ok, it’s actually a horde) of wool from when I was knitting soakers for babies, sweaters, seasonal clothing, and commissions for friends, family, and customers. I love to knit for friends, family, and customers. Here are two things I have on the needles now:

I’m also in the process of indulging a new obsession of collecting tattoos! Like this one, my LOTR-based script, “Not all those who wander lost,” tattoo.

We went to the show!

Yesterday my mister and I took our youngest Elflings to see Despicable Me 2, and we loved it! The Minions are so adorable! I need to knit some of those little guys with the wool I have left from when I used to knit for babies. (I would also prefer to make something useful with it, rather than liquidating it.)

These Purple Freaks were so awful and adorable, too! I’ll probably be knitting more Freaks than Minions, though. I promise to share them here first. ❤
